How It Works
Introduction
Tell the group you’re going to “shake out” tiredness or stress. It’s short, silly, and effective.
Execution
Everyone stands up. Start with your right hand: shake it 8 times while counting out loud. Then left hand (8), right foot (8), left foot (8). Repeat with 4, 2, and finally 1 shake per limb—speeding up each round. Count together and have fun with it!
Debrief/Reflection
Briefly notice how energy and mood have shifted. No reflection needed unless you want to.
Tips & Variations
- Works great with music or clapping rhythm.
- Keep it playful – it’s not about coordination.
- For remote groups: encourage cameras on if possible, but allow people to participate however they feel comfortable.
